Certificate Accounts
With as little as $500, you can invest in a Certificate Account and earn some of the best rates available. Your rate is fixed for the term of your Certificate Account and determined by the amount you choose to invest and the term of your Certificate Account (anywhere from 6 months to 5 years).
Dividends are paid monthly giving you the opportunity to take your earnings as a check, transfer it to another account or leave it in your Certificate Account and take full advantage of compounding. Certificates Accounts are subject to a penalty for withdrawal prior to the date of maturity. Remember, all of your funds at St. Helens Community Federal Credit Union, including Certificates of Deposit, are fully insured up to $100,000 by the NCUA, an agency of the Federal Government.
